After You Book
You’re In! Here’s What Happens Next
First of all — congratulations, and welcome to the adventure! We know booking a trip is a big, exciting step, so here’s exactly what to expect from now until the day you arrive. No surprises, no guesswork — we’ll walk you through all of it.
1. Right away — your confirmation lands in your inbox
Within a few minutes of booking, you’ll get a confirmation email with everything you need: your booking summary, the full day-by-day itinerary, a map of our route, your packing list, and the short set of forms we’ll need back from you. (If you don’t see it, peek in your spam folder — then add us to your contacts so nothing gets lost.)
2. In your first week — send back your forms
We’ll need a few simple things to get you fully set: a signed liability waiver, a quick health & dietary questionnaire, your emergency contact, and your tent/room preference (share with a new friend, or grab a private space for a small supplement). The sooner these come back, the sooner you’re all squared away.
3. Book your travel
Once you’re booked, go ahead and grab your flights. Each trip page lists the airport to fly into; plan to arrive by Saturday afternoon in time for our welcome dinner, and fly home Saturday (or Friday evening after 5:00 PM if you’d rather head out a little early). We’ll send flight tips, and we strongly recommend travel insurance — it protects your investment if life happens.
4. Final payment
Your deposit is taken care of at booking. The remaining balance is due [e.g. 90 days] before your departure — and don’t worry, we’ll send a friendly reminder well before then.
5. About a month before — final details & meet your crew
Roughly four weeks out, you’ll get a final-details email: current weather, a few last packing notes, arrival logistics, and what each day will really feel like. This is also when you’ll get to meet your fellow adventurers, with an optional pre-trip video call with Michele to ask any last questions and calm any last-minute jitters.
6. Trip week — the adventure begins!
You’ll arrive, settle in, meet everyone at our welcome dinner… and then we’re off. All you have to do is show up ready to explore. We’ve got the rest.
