Why We Camp

Here’s the honest answer: we stay right in the parks so you can truly experience them.

During peak season, just driving into a national park can eat up hours of your day — sometimes more. And when you’ve only got a week to soak up as much beauty and adventure as possible, every single hour counts. By camping inside the park (or as close to it as we can get), we wake up already there — ready to hit the trail while everyone else is still sitting in the entrance line.

Never camped before? Don’t worry — I mean it! We handle absolutely everything, from setup to takedown. All you have to do is show up and enjoy.

Wait… tents? Let me explain.

Yes, we stay in tents — but we’re glamping, and there’s a big difference! What exactly does that mean? Great question. We’ve all seen that backcountry hiker curled up in their tiny little tent, cooking on their tiny little stove. And while that’s a spectacular way to spend time in nature, that is not what these trips are like.

Think of it more as base camp. Here’s what “your tent” actually looks like:

  • A cot with a comfy air mattress, a warm sleeping bag, and a real pillow

  • A nightstand with a bedside lantern

  • A container under your cot to unpack your clothes into, so getting ready each morning is a breeze

  • A full-size camp chair for evenings around the fire

  • A dry, comfortable place to enjoy every meal

  • Starlink at the main campsite so you can stay in touch with home

  • A charging station for your phones and battery packs

You’ll have most of the comforts of home while still getting that unmistakable sense of being on a true adventure in some of the most beautiful places in America.

And yes — there are hot showers and flushing toilets! So you won’t have to rough it where it counts.

Just imagine yourself as an explorer on safari… that’s exactly the vibe we’re going for. Adventurous, comfortable, and completely unforgettable.

On a few special trips — like our fall Acadia week — we trade the tents for a cozy house instead. But for our national-park adventures, camping is how we do it right.
